Effect of emulsifier addition on metabolizable energy reduction in broiler diets

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the effect of including soy lecithin emulsifier (SL) in broiler diets with reduced metabolizable energy levels and correlate it nutrient metabolizability coefficients, as well determine apparent (AME). Two metabolic trials were conducted a completely randomized design 3x2 factorial arrangement (diet three energy, or without inclusion emulsifier), totaling six treatments. In starter phase, chicks received 2,950, 3,050, 3,150 kcal/kg replications 10 birds each, 360 birds. grower 3,100, 3,150, 3,200 feed tested 210 used seven five each. An interaction was observed nitrogen coefficient increasing when added energy. Additionally, increased nitrogen-corrected AME (AMEn). also present AMEn lower levels. summary, can reduce while improving both phases, growing broilers.
